| House Bill 268 |
| Notice requirements for competitive bidding have changed as of June 12, 2008 when Gov. Ted Strickland signed into law House Bill 268. The new law allows boards of education that post legal notices on their Web sites to dispense with the second required notice in a newspaper of general circulation if the first notice in the newspaper is published at least two weeks before the bids are open. House Bill 268 offers more flexibility for school districts and a cost savings on the publishing fees newspapers charge for legal notices. |
